So while going through the usual net surfing Saturday morning afternoon nothing better to do type thing, I came across this little youtube video, the opening theme to a 1980s series called The Charmings. I was hysterical with laughter after I had watched it. I am going to have to hunt the show down to see if I can source it online.

Is Rihanna Pregnant?

So… this is interesting.

According to Celebtv.com via their Youtube account, Rihanna MAY indeed be preggers for Chris Brown and ‘friends’ are speculating that may have had something to do with the alleged assault that transpired last month that had everyone’s tongues wagging. Clip below:

Am I the only one that thinks this or did Miss Kelli Zink look like a permanently started  cheetah-human hybrid? I’m just saying it’s kind of distracting.

Oh back to the actual report. Um… abortions don’t cost that much, and she’s loaded. And now that I’m on the subject, I might as well air my prejudice. Why is it that the black couples ALWAYS have some drama surrounding them? It’s times like these I admire Denzel and Mrs. Washington and to a lesser extent Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. Married, happy, settled, somewhat normal. No drama. Not that marriage is the great equalizer but I mean, they are a normal group of people.
And another thing, why is it ALWAYS domestic violence? Rihanna, Robin Givens, Tina Turner, even Halle Berry (to a lesser extent). It’s depressing.

Sigh.

Chris Brown Beat Rihanna

So, word is almost official (not that anyone left room for speculation) that it was indeed Rihanna who was the earlier reported “unidentified female” in the alleged Chris Brown assault investigation.

This is no laughing matter, it is very distressing that two up and coming young, black entertainers (well blackish) have become center of attention for such a horrendous  reason. I would like to take this opportunity to express both concern and shame for this situation and hope other people learn from this situation and follow the advice of persons who know better. (Read between the lines, some of you know what and who I’m talking about).

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Earlier today, the Los Angeles District Attorney asked police detectives to dig up more evidence for their case against Chris Brown.

The police are getting cooperation from Rihanna, and what she has told them so far is chilling.

A source close to the investigation tells E! News exclusively that Rihanna has alleged to police that Brown choked her while threatening to kill her and, subsequently, she lost consciousness.

They began squabbling after leaving Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party late Saturday. Shortly after midnight, things blew up. Brown pulled his silver Lambourghini to the side of a street in L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood. That’s when, per the source, Rihanna grabbed the car keys and tossed them out the window, sending Brown into a rage.

He tried in vain to find the keys, then came back to the car, put his hands around her neck and, according to the insider, said, “I’m going to kill you!”

The 20-year-old “Disturbia” singer told police that she lost consciousness, the source says, and when she awoke, Brown had fled.

According to the source, her right eye was blackened and badly swollen and she had hand prints on her arms. The responding officers were so concerned about her, they drove Rihanna to the hospital in their squad car instead of waiting for an ambulance.

Officers took two sets of photographs of the banged-up singer, one at the scene and the second after she was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment. Those photos were presumably among the evidence presented to the D.A.

After being treated for her injuries, police escorted her down a rear elevator and into a waiting Mercedes, the source says.

Brown, 19, was subsequently booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. He was released after posting $50,000 bail.

His lawyer, Mark Geragos, has not responded to repeated requests for comment on the allegations. Brown’s publicist also has not commented.

A spokeswoman for Rihanna declined to comment specifically on details of the fight and the arrest and stuck to her earlier statement from Sunday: “Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support.”

So aaaaaanywho I found this highly inappropriate video on youtube with their unique take on the fight. I have my own reasons and issues with it but I still think it’s funny.

Racism

I found this little gem while getting my Facebook on this evening and felt that it needed to be shared. I was shocked at how few views it had! I figure it would have had MILLIONS! Oh well, I guess watching fat losers shame themselves dancing to Single Ladies is more ‘entertaining and enlightening’, whatever.

Shontelle & Akon – Stuck With Each Other

So apparently the video for Shontelle’s latest track “Stuck With Each Other” featuring Akon (audio above) is wrapped up. The song comes from the soundtrack to Confessions of a Shopaholic, in theatres, February 13th, 2009 and NOT from her recently debuted album Shontelligence. New Rihanna!

Ya gotta love me! Bitch! I’m Special!!!! Lovin’ the new beat. It sounds a bit unfinished to me, but maybe that’s the beauty of it, who knows. I’ll give it a few more spins and see how it grows on me.

Pan Yuh

So I have been watching this video for two days straight and it never gets old lol. Who are Hotta Claps and Danger? They sound contagious.

It is the tackiest, low budget piece of shit I have ever seen, the singing is awful, the production is worse and the music video is laughable. However, I must give them props for bravery to actually go out there and do something.

Rihanna Still in Top 5 and Top 50

Who says she doesn’t have staying power!

Still managing to hold strong on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 5 (after peaking at number3) in the most highly competitive top 10 of recent years with her dance hit Don’t Stop the Music. Apparently her album Good Girl Gone Bad is still holding steady in the top 50 also, coming in at number 31 in the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums, the 5th oldest album on the chart!

How Do I Title This…

Ironically enough, this was just sent to me after I spoke of heartbreak!

Not many of you may know my stance on violence especially as it relates to Jamaica, but I think serious action needs to be taken. Sadly, I cannot say WHAT that action may be as every step I think of leads to greater complications and does not always work out to be feasible.

Youtube is Golden

Ah, ’tis the Youtube generation and aren’t we all reveling in it? I mean where else can you upload videos of yourself and become celebrities or see your favourite music videos that no longer show on MTV or VH1, and news, sports, comedy, etc. and be widely seen besides Youtube? The answer my friend is blowing in the wind (lol broke off into song there just now). Anyway, you HAVE to check out this video from the young Tina EC.
